Future Perfect memiliki dua bentuk yang berbeda dalam bahasa Inggris yaitu bentuk "will have done" dan "be going to have done." Dalam Future Perfect ke duanya bermakna sama yaitu “Akan sudah.”

Bentuk “WILL HAVE VERB3”

WILL  +	SUBJECT  + HAVE + VERB3	OBJECT / COMPLEMENT
EXAMPLES:
(KALIMAT +) You will have perfected your English by the time you graduate from that university.
(KALIMAT - ) You will have not perfected your English by the time you graduate from that university.
(KALIMAT ?) Will you have perfected your English by the time you graduate from that university?

EXAMPLES:
(KALIMAT +) You are going to have perfected your English by the time you graduate from that university.
(KALIMAT - ) You are not going to have perfected your English by the time you graduate from that university.
(KALIMAT ?) Are you going to have perfected your English by the time you graduate from that university.?

B.     Time Signal of Future Perfect Tense

Dalam future perfect text kita sering memakai kata keterangan waktu seperti:

1.    By next November, By Monday, etc

2.    By the time + S + V1/TOBE [is/am/are]

3.    Before + S + V1/TOBE [is/am/are] 

C.     Fungsi Future Perfect Tense

Dalam bahasa Inggris, Future Perfect tense memiliki beberapa fungsi sebagai berikut:

1. Menyatakan sebuah kegiatan yang akan sudah selesai dilakukan di masa yang akan datang sebelum kegiatan lain. Completed Action Before Something in the Future
2. Menyatakan durasi waktu dari sebuah kegiatan yang akan sedang dilakukan di masa depan sebelum kegiatan lain terjadi. Duration Before Something in the Future (Non-Continuous Verbs) Secara detail Englishiana membahas fungsi-fungsi Future Perfect Tense tersebut beserta contohnya di bawah ini:

1 Menyatakan sebuah kegiatan yang akan sudah selesai dilakukan di masa yang akan datang sebelum kegiatan lain

Kita menggunakan Future Perfect untuk menyatakan bahwa sebuah kegiatan yang akan sudah selesai dilakukan di masa depan sebelum kejadian lain terjadi. Semisal dalam bahasa Indonesia saya ilustrasikan dalam kalimat ini: “Saya akan sudah selesai kuliah saat kamu ke sini tahun depan.”

Examples:

1. By next November, I will have got my certificate.
2. By the time all her children get home, my mom is going to have cleaned the entire house.
3. I am not going to have finished this project by 11 o'clock tomorrow.
4. Sam is probably going to have completed the proposal by the time our boss arrives this afternoon.
5. Will she have learned enough the proposal before she approves to project?
6. By the time I finish this course, I will have finished my study.
7. How many people are you going to have known by the time you leave this city?

Catatan yang perlu diingat adalah kegiakan yang akan mengganggu (kata yang bercetak miring pada contoh di atas) harus dalam bentuk  Simple Present bukan dalam Simple Future Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterangan yang menggunakan klausa waktu when….kita tidak bisa menggunakan keterangan waktu tersebut dalam klausa future tense. Semisal. I will have finished my projetc when you will arrive tomorrow.

2 Menyatakan durasi waktu dari sebuah kegiatan yang akan sedang dilakukan di masa depan sebelum kegiatan lain terjadi khusunya (Non-Continuous Verbs)

Pada fungsi ini present perfect menyatakan tentang suatu kegiatan yang akan sedang dilakukan selama durasi waktu tertentu semisal for three hours, for a month, for a week etc di masa depan. Dalam hal ini sebenarnya present perfect menjalankan fungsi future perfect continuous khusus untuk Non-Continuous Verbs dan beberapa bentuk non-continuous dari Mixed Verbs.

Examples:

1. I will have been in Bandarlampung for six months by the time I graduate from this program.
2. By next month, Susan is going to have borrowed my book for two months.

INGAT!

Meskipun pada fungsi ini biasanya hanya berlaku untuk Non-Continuous Verbs, tetapi ada juga kata kerja normal / normal verb yang dapat dipakai pada fungsi ini. Kata kerja tersebut adalah "live," "work," "teach," dan "study"

D.  Active / Passive Voice in Future PerfectTense

Examples:

1. They will have completed the homework before the deadline given by the teacher. Active
2. The homework will have been completed before the deadline given by the teacher. Passive
3. They are going to have completed the project before the deadline before the deadline given by the teacher. Active
4. The homework is going to have been completed before the deadline before the deadline given by the teacher. Passive
